Chatfuel pricing 2026: every plan and what you'll really pay
Chatfuel pricing in October 2026: the $20 Business plan, Agency tiers, AI credits, the 7-day trial, and how it compares with ManyChat and meetalto.ai.

Chatfuel pricing starts at $20 a month for the Business plan, or $18 a month billed yearly ($216 a year). That covers unlimited contacts and $20 of AI credits a month; extra AI use comes out of a prepaid wallet. Agencies start at $100 a month, and there’s no free plan, only a 7-day free trial.
We checked those prices on Chatfuel’s own pricing page on 24 October 2026. That matters, because Chatfuel changed its pricing three times this year and many pages still quote the old prices. So do some of Google’s AI answers.
Below: every plan, the AI credits and wallet, a year’s cost and Chatfuel against ManyChat. We build meetalto.ai, a Chatfuel alternative, and compare it in its own section.

Chatfuel’s plans in 2026
Business
Business is Chatfuel’s one plan for a single company. Its pricing page lists what it covers:
- replies to post and Reels comments automatically;
- qualifies and scores leads;
- sells products and services in the chat;
- sends bulk WhatsApp campaigns;
- books meetings in WhatsApp automatically;
- syncs WhatsApp with your CRM;
- sends WhatsApp conversions to the Meta Pixel and shows which ad campaigns drive sales.

Agency S and the larger agency tiers
Agency S is for agencies running bots for several clients: three companies, an agency dashboard, a dedicated account manager, early access to new features and $100 of AI credits a month. The larger tiers sit behind a dropdown on the pricing page, and each covers unlimited companies:
Agency tier | Monthly | Billed yearly | AI credits a month |
|---|---|---|---|
Agency S (3 companies) | $100 | $90 a month | $100 |
Agency M | $225 | $202.50 a month | $250 |
Agency L | $440 | $396 a month | $500 |
Agency XL | $850 | $765 a month | $1,000 |
Agency XXL | $2,050 | $1,845 a month | $2,500 |
Chatfuel’s help docs label each tier one size smaller (their “Agency S” is $225), so go by the pricing page.
How Chatfuel’s AI credits and wallet work
Chatfuel doesn’t bill by contacts. “Your plan includes unlimited active contacts,” its limits page says, but “fair use AI limits apply.” Each plan includes a monthly amount of AI credits, which don’t carry over, and a prepaid wallet pays for the rest:
- AI replies beyond the credits in your plan;
- WhatsApp templates and the WhatsApp messages Meta charges for, passed through from Meta.
Chatfuel puts it plainly: “Your subscription price never changes with your traffic. The wallet is what moves.” You can set the wallet to top itself up from your card.
What Chatfuel doesn’t publish is a price per AI reply, so you can’t work out a busy month’s bill in advance.
Two things can stop your bot:
- The fair-use limit. Past it, “your bot pauses. Your AI assistant stops replying to incoming messages until the limit resets,” unless you renew your plan or connect your own OpenAI key.
- An empty wallet. “If your wallet has reached zero, processing stops,” Chatfuel’s docs say.
Scripted replies, such as keyword replies, button flows and broadcasts, don’t count toward the limit. “Static actions don’t count,” the limits page says, so only the AI pauses.
Is Chatfuel free?
No, Chatfuel has no free plan. “Chatfuel’s free trial lasts 7 days,” and it comes with $15 of credits to test the AI and messaging. After the trial you choose Business or an agency tier.
Chatfuel contradicts itself on cards. Its pricing page says no credit card is required; its help centre, updated 8 October, says you enter card details to start the trial.
If you want a free plan to start on, meetalto.ai’s Free plan covers 1,000 active contacts a month on Instagram and Facebook, with Comment to DM, Story to DM and the inbox included.
Why you’ll see different Chatfuel prices online
Chatfuel has changed its pricing three times this year. That’s why one page says $69, another mentions a free plan, and Google’s AI answers range from “$15 to $49” to $20. The Internet Archive’s copies of the pricing page show each change:
When | What Chatfuel charged |
|---|---|
February to March 2026 | Business from $23.99 a month, priced by conversations ($0.02 for each extra) |
April to June 2026 | “One Simple Plan” at $69 a month |
July to early September 2026 | A free “Chatfuel Light” plan, and “AI PRO” at $69 a month or $49 billed yearly |
October 2026 | Business at $20 a month ($18 billed yearly) and agency tiers |
So if a review quotes $69, a free plan or per-conversation pricing, it was written before October.
What Chatfuel costs over a year
Plan | Paid monthly | Paid yearly | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
Business | $240 | $216 | $24 |
Agency S | $1,200 | $1,080 | $120 |
Add whatever your wallet spends: AI replies beyond the included credits, and Meta’s fees for paid WhatsApp messages. Since 1 October 2026, Meta also charges for WhatsApp service messages, for every business and provider, and Chatfuel takes those from the wallet too.
Chatfuel vs ManyChat pricing
The two price in opposite ways. ManyChat charges by active contacts, the people who interact with your account in a month; Chatfuel charges a flat plan plus AI usage. With AI included, on monthly billing:
Active contacts a month | ManyChat | Chatfuel | meetalto.ai |
|---|---|---|---|
1,000 | $39 (Pro) | $20, plus AI beyond $20 of credits | $49 (Pro, 3,000 AI Credits) |
2,500 | $39 (Pro) | $20, plus AI beyond $20 of credits | $49 (Pro, 3,000 AI Credits) |
5,000 | $99 (Business) | $20, plus AI beyond $20 of credits | $49 (Pro, 3,000 AI Credits) |
10,000 | $161.50 (Business and overage) | $20, plus AI beyond $20 of credits | $49 (Pro, 3,000 AI Credits) |
25,000 | $199 (Advanced) | $20, plus AI beyond $20 of credits | $49 (Pro, 3,000 AI Credits) |
More AI costs extra on both Chatfuel and meetalto.ai: a wallet top-up on Chatfuel, or a larger meetalto.ai Pro plan ($99 for 6,500 AI Credits). ManyChat publishes no AI usage cap.

ManyChat’s figures come from its help centre; our ManyChat pricing calculator works them out for any number of contacts, and our ManyChat pricing guide explains each plan. For a side-by-side of features as well as prices, see ManyChat vs Chatfuel.
Chatfuel vs meetalto.ai: what you get for the money

What meetalto.ai’s AI DM Agent does:
- It understands more than text. It reads the voice notes and photos customers send, and answers them.
- It remembers each customer. Replies draw on the conversation so far and the contact’s history.
- It knows your business. Train it on your files, your web pages and your Shopify products and policies. It learns from your edits and flags the questions it can’t answer yet.
- It takes action. It checks Shopify orders and tracking, books calls, and shares approved discounts and links. It saves emails and phone numbers to Klaviyo, Kit, Beehiiv, Flodesk or Zapier, and hands the chat to a person, with a Slack alert, when it should.
- It shows which chats sell. Connect Shopify and the sales your DMs bring in appear in your store’s own reports, and orders placed through the agent’s links show up on the customer’s contact.
- Ask Alto drafts it for you. Describe what you want (“a comment-to-DM campaign for my latest post”) and Ask Alto drafts the campaign or AI agent for you to review and switch on.
Moving from Chatfuel? The Alto team rebuilds your automations, keywords and lead magnets for free; just ask. See what the agent does on the AI Sales Agent page.
Chatfuel’s limits worth knowing
- No free plan. You pay from day 8.
- AI can pause. Past the fair-use limit, or with an empty wallet, the bot stops replying.
- No published AI rate. You can’t price a busy month in advance.
- TikTok has catches. Accounts registered in the United States can’t connect, and TikTok doesn’t let any tool send DMs from comments.
- No Shopify integration. Chatfuel’s docs don’t mention Shopify, and its old Shopify page now redirects to the homepage. For order updates, your store system sends each status through Chatfuel’s API, and its AI can then answer “Where is my order?”
- Zapier is listed but not supported. The pricing page’s FAQ names Zapier, but Chatfuel’s help centre says “Chatfuel does not support Zapier integration.”
Who Chatfuel suits
Chatfuel suits a business that sells mainly on WhatsApp. Bulk WhatsApp campaigns and meeting booking come in the $20 plan, and agencies get a dashboard for several clients. Every plan includes unlimited teammates and a website chat widget; its AI answers voice messages and can book meetings on any channel.
Pick something else if you want a free plan to start on, a Shopify store your AI can answer from, or YouTube comments. Our Instagram automation tools roundup and ManyChat alternatives compare the options.
