Open ChatGPT plugins

Add Meet Alto to ChatGPT. One custom server, no API key.

  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, choose Add and create a custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Meet Alto and paste the server URL. Choose OAuth (pick Dynamic Client Registration if asked) and leave the client ID and secret blank.
  3. Create it, sign in to Alto, pick your workspace and approve. Then type @Meet Alto in a chat.

On Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, an admin may need to allow custom MCP servers first.

Can ChatGPT connect to Instagram?

Yes, through Alto. Add Meet Alto to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server, and ChatGPT can work with the Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp and YouTube accounts in your Alto workspace.

Can ChatGPT reply to Instagram DMs?

ChatGPT drafts replies to real messages for you to check and send. To answer people automatically, ask it to set up a campaign or your AI sales agent, and Alto does the replying.

How do I add Meet Alto to ChatGPT?

In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, choose Add and create a custom MCP server named Meet Alto with https://app.meetalto.ai/mcp. Choose OAuth, then sign in to Alto and pick your workspace.

Do I need developer mode?

Usually not any more. ChatGPT now adds custom MCP servers straight from Plugins. If your ChatGPT still asks for developer mode, turn it on in Settings, then add Meet Alto.

Which ChatGPT plans can add it?

It depends on your plan and your workspace’s settings. If you can create a custom MCP server in Plugins, you can add Meet Alto. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, an admin may need to allow it first.

Does ChatGPT see my Instagram password?

No. Alto connects to Instagram through Meta’s official sign-in, and ChatGPT signs in to Alto, never to Instagram.

Is it included in my Alto plan?

Yes. MCP access is part of every Alto plan, Free included. ChatGPT can use what your plan includes, and AI sales agents, follow-ups and the Social CRM are on Pro.

How do I remove it?

Disconnect ChatGPT in Alto under Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP, then disconnect Meet Alto in ChatGPT under Settings → Plugins. Removing it only in ChatGPT doesn’t revoke its access, and your social accounts stay connected.
