Codex MCP server for Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp

Paste one setup prompt into Codex and sign in. Then ask it to build a lead-magnet campaign for your next Reel, fill the gaps in your AI sales agent’s answers, or find the people most interested in your course.

Add Meet Alto to Codex. One prompt, then sign in.

  1. Paste the setup prompt into Codex. It adds Meet Alto to your Codex config and starts sign-in.
  2. Pick your workspace and approve access in your browser, then return to Codex.
  3. Ask Codex which workspace it’s connected to. Start a new session if the tools aren’t there yet.

The Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share one config, so it’s set up in all three.

Connect Meet Alto to Codex for me.
Add this entry to ~/.codex/config.toml and keep everything else in the file. If a meet-alto entry already exists, update it instead of adding a second one.

Then read my Meet Alto workspace name and tell me what it is. If the tools haven’t loaded yet, tell me to start a new session. Don’t change anything in my workspace yet.

Then askWhich Alto workspace are you connected to?

Then just ask Codex. From the CLI, your editor or the app.

Answer lesson and pricing questions

Ask which questions your AI sales agent couldn’t answer. Codex adds your course page to what it knows, then runs test chats so you can read the answers.

You stay in control. Codex drafts. You decide what goes live.

  • One workspace, your permissions

Each connection works in the workspace you chose when you signed in, within your role and your plan.

  • Drafts first

New campaigns are saved as drafts. Turning one on is a separate step you ask for.

  • Your app can ask first

Keep tool approvals on in your AI app to see each action before it runs.

  • Disconnect any time

Remove access in Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP. Your social accounts stay connected.

Talk to the Alto team.

How do I add an MCP server to Codex?

Add a meet-alto entry to ~/.codex/config.toml, then run codex mcp login meet-alto to sign in. The setup prompt on this page does both and keeps the rest of your config.

Does it work in the Codex CLI, IDE extension and app?

Yes. The Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share the same config, so you set Meet Alto up once.

Do I need an API key?

No. codex mcp login opens Alto’s sign-in in your browser, where you pick your workspace and approve access.

Can Codex build a comment-to-DM campaign?

Yes. Describe the post, the keyword and what to send. Codex builds the campaign in Alto and saves it as a draft for you to check and turn on.

Can I change what Codex can access?

Yes. In Alto, open Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP and choose Reconnect with more access on the Codex card, or disconnect and sign in again.

Is it included in my Alto plan?

Yes. Every Alto plan includes MCP access, Free included. Codex can do what your plan includes, so AI sales agents, follow-ups and the Social CRM need Pro.

How do I remove it?

Disconnect Codex in Alto under Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP, then run codex mcp logout meet-alto and codex mcp remove meet-alto. Your social accounts stay connected.
