Add Meet Alto to Hermes Agent. From Hermes Desktop or your config.

  1. Choose Add to Hermes and confirm Add server in Hermes Desktop, or add Meet Alto to your profile’s config.yaml.
  2. Choose Authorize on Meet Alto in Hermes Desktop, or run hermes mcp login meet-alto in a new terminal. Then sign in to Alto and approve.
  3. Start a new chat or run /reload-mcp, then ask which workspace it’s connected to.

Using a named profile? Sign in with hermes -p <profile> mcp login meet-alto.

Connect Meet Alto to Hermes Agent for me.
Add this to my active profile’s config.yaml (usually ~/.hermes/config.yaml) and keep everything else. Don’t add an API key.

Then tell me to run hermes mcp login meet-alto in a new terminal on the same profile, or to choose Authorize on Meet Alto in Hermes Desktop. I’ll pick my workspace and approve access in the browser. Stop if sign-in fails. Reload with /reload-mcp when I’m done.
Then read my Meet Alto workspace name and tell me what it is. If the tools haven’t loaded yet, tell me to start a new session. Don’t change anything in my workspace yet.

How do I add an MCP server to Hermes Agent?

Choose Add to Hermes on this page and confirm Add server in Hermes Desktop, or add a meet-alto entry under mcp_servers in your profile’s config.yaml.

Does Hermes Agent support MCP sign-in?

Yes. It signs in to Alto in your browser, so there’s no key to paste. Choose Authorize in Hermes Desktop, or run hermes mcp login meet-alto in a new terminal.

Does it ask before changing anything?

Yes. Meet Alto is added as an untrusted server, so Hermes Agent asks you before each action that changes something in Alto. Reading your DMs and results doesn’t need a yes.

Which profile does it use?

The one you add it to. Each profile keeps its own sign-in, so sign in from that same profile, adding -p and its name for a named one.

The tools aren’t showing.

Start a new chat or run /reload-mcp. Hermes Agent loads new servers then.

Can I ask from Telegram or WhatsApp?

Yes, through Hermes Agent’s messaging gateway. Sign in on the machine that runs the gateway, and approvals show up as buttons in chats like Telegram and Slack.

How do I disconnect?

Disconnect Hermes Agent in Alto under Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP, then run hermes mcp remove meet-alto. Your social accounts stay connected.
