Meet Alto for VS Code

Add Meet Alto to mcp.json and use it in Copilot

Paste into VS Code
Connect Meet Alto to VS Code for me.
Add this server to .vscode/mcp.json and keep the servers already there.
{
  "servers": {
    "meet-alto": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://app.meetalto.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
Then tell me to start the server and sign in. I’ll pick my workspace and approve access in the browser, then turn on the Meet Alto tools under Configure Tools in a Local agent session. Stop if sign-in fails.
Then read my Meet Alto workspace name and tell me what it is. If the tools haven’t loaded yet, tell me to start a new session. Don’t change anything in my workspace yet.

Then askWhich Alto workspace are you connected to?

Then just ask Copilot. Without leaving your editor.

Turn BREW comments into first orders

Describe the post, the keyword and the offer. Copilot builds the comment-to-DM campaign in Alto and saves it as a draft for you to check and turn on.

You stay in control. Copilot drafts. You decide what goes live.

  • One workspace, your permissions

    Each connection works in the workspace you chose when you signed in, within your role and your plan.

  • Drafts first

    New campaigns are saved as drafts. Turning one on is a separate step you ask for.

  • Your app can ask first

    Keep tool approvals on in your AI app to see each action before it runs.

  • Disconnect any time

    Remove access in Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP. Your social accounts stay connected.

Talk to the Alto team.

How do I add an MCP server in VS Code?

Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and paste https://app.meetalto.ai/mcp, or add the meet-alto entry to .vscode/mcp.json. Then start it and sign in to Alto.

Do I need an API key?

No. VS Code opens Alto’s sign-in in your browser, where you pick your workspace and approve access.

Where do the Meet Alto tools appear?

In the Chat view. Choose the Local session target and Agent, then turn Meet Alto on under Configure Tools.

Does my organization need to allow it?

On Copilot Business and Enterprise, an admin turns on the MCP servers in Copilot policy first and can limit which servers are allowed. On an individual Copilot plan, you can add it yourself.

Is this the same as the Codex extension?

No. The Codex extension has its own setup through Codex’s config. This page sets up Meet Alto for GitHub Copilot.

Is it included in my Alto plan?

Yes. Every Alto plan includes MCP access, Free included. Copilot can use what your plan includes, so AI sales agents, follow-ups and the Social CRM need Pro.

How do I remove it?

Disconnect VS Code in Alto under Settings → Integrations → Manage MCP, then run MCP: List Servers, choose Meet Alto and uninstall it. Removing it only in VS Code doesn’t revoke its access, and your social accounts stay connected.
